2011 Update
Latest news from Pastor Marie Macleod
This is a year of firsts for us here in New Wine Church Tain. In February we had our first creative miracle, in March we had a supernatural manifestation of oil, and we had our first Water Baptism at the beginning of June.
In September 2010 I had two falls within a week resulting in a fractured right foot and a 3cm tear in my rotator cuff leaving me unable to move my right shoulder. I was due to have a major operation on the 11th March which was going to leave me with my arm strapped to my body for 6 weeks followed by a long period of recovery. However, in mid Febuary while I was beginning to feel as though my healing was not going to happen I was given this wonderful revelation that while Mary and Martha sent for Jesus when Lazarus was sick they were looking for a healing and He was looking for a Resurrection…..wow …… what can you say to that!
A couple of weeks later the youth team from Stornoway were ministering in Tain Youth Cafe on the Saturday evening. On the Sunday we had a family service and the Youth Cafe Puppet Team joined us, attracting others who don’t normally worship with us – including some unsaved folks.
The healing Power of God touched me following Pastor Donnie preaching on the Lord ’s Prayer and how He was waiting for us to invite Him into our situations and allow Heaven to invade earth. I stepped forward, fell on my knees, and experienced an intense heat in my shoulder. As it subsided I very gingerly tried to move it and found that not only was it pain free but I had full functioning!! It was amazing! I had my first uninterrupted sleep that night since my fall and have continued enjoying full use of my right arm without the major op. I attended my pre-op assessment appointment and my consultant’s response was that the op was no longer necessary, but if I was to have any problems to ring him direct and by pass the system……I think I had already bypassed the system!! Praise God – He is true to His Word!
We have recently seen the first ” resurrected” soul from that Sunday – a young man who was alcoholic and suicidal and had sat literally rattling throughout the service. Pastor Donnie and I prayed with him and he walked in to church about a month ago cleaned up and sober after giving his life to the Lord and is now having a prayer meeting in his house every Friday evening.
In March the Lord spoke to us at the start of our time of worship about the oil and the wine and again invited those needing healing to come and there was a pool of oil left on the floor throughout the service. When the meeting was closed the oil just disappeared.
At the beginning of June a woman who had been backsliding for years and had been attending a spiritualist church following the death of her husband got baptised in the Firth at Shandwick and none of us felt the water cold. Praise God that I had a strong right arm!

Thank you for visiting us online. We appreciate your interest in our church and look forward to having you drop by often.
We are happy you took the time to visit our site and would like to invite you to one of our Sunday celebrations.
New Wine Church offers a welcoming environment where you can experience lively and Spirit-led contemporary worship and real, relevant and radical teaching straight from the Bible. There is always opportunity to receive prayer whatever your need might be. We believe that Jesus still heals the sick and brings freedom to the oppressed.
Whether you have been a Christian for a long time, or whether you are taking your first tentative steps as a new believer, or are just interested in finding out more about the claims of Christ, our goal is to help you see how relevant God and his word are to your everyday life.
Our vision is to establish people in the reality of who they are, and all that they can be in Christ Jesus.
As people are established in relationship with their heavenly Father they are equipped with a faith that is relevant to face all of the challenges of living in the 21st century, and are enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit to live a radical life that revolutionises the humdrum of everyday existence and transforms it into an exciting and exhilarating experience.
